ETCOG announces a reduction in price of trip costs coming to GoBus riders. The cost of a one-way trip is dropping from $4 to $2 for all paying customers. The new fare structure was approved by the ETCOG Executive Committee this month and will go into effect on January 2nd. more

Wood County District Clerk Jenica Turner was honored for her 28 years of service to the county by family, friends and colleagues on Dec. 18 at the 402nd District Courtroom. Turner began working for the county as a probation officer in 1990. She was sworn-in as district clerk on Labor Day 2003 and has served through 2018. more
Judge Joe D. Clayton of Tyler is expected to preside over a Jan. 14 scheduling conference regarding the Jason Walters murder case, a signal that the stalled proceeding may get back on track. more
A 48-year-old Winnsboro man faces two charges of indecent exposure in connection with alleged lewd behavior in the parking lot of the Walmart in Mineola. On Dec. 14, Charles Brian Kirksey was arrested for two warrants of indecent exposure. Each warrant carries a $10,000 bond. Kirksey turned himself in to a Mineola Investigator at the Wood County Detention Center, according to the Mineola Police Department. more
