Seniors treated to memories parade

On Wednesday, June 17 the Making Memories Parade was a huge success thanks to many spirit-filled residents of Mineola. The portable parade was two cars strong and lasted nearly two hours long. Each “float” was adorned with patriotic garland, balloons and an American flag. more

Eyes are window to self-taught sketch artists’ talents

“It all starts with the eyes,” stated pencil sketch artist Johnny Harris. The retired Lake Fork resident fills his days with fishing and drawing.

Cemetery dividing fence coming down Wednesday

Plans to remove the fence that long separated two private Mineola cemeteries were delayed until this Wednesday (July 15).

The work, anticipated to begin last Wednesday, had to be postponed due to wet conditions. more
