Church planning rededication

The sanctuary of First Christian Church that fronts Pacific St. one block north of downtown Mineola was dedicated May 20, 1951. Through two generous donations, one anonymous and the other by Tadd, Orine and Scott Choate, the sanctuary has been completely renovated, including new paint, carpet and pews.  The church has been enjoying the restored, clean look of their worship center since Dec. 8. more

Walk to raise awareness of veterans’ issues passing through Wood County this week

Think about what that looks like: a life lost, a surgery delayed or cancelled, trauma services not available, and even cancer patients without the transfusion support for the side effects of chemotherapy. more
