An accident involving a delivery vehicle and electrical lines knocked out power Friday, April 5 at Mineola High School and Elementary School.

Power was restored to the Elementary School by 1:15 p.m., but the high school still was without power by the end of the school day. Also, the internet went down at both schools. Supt. Kim Tunnell said it could be a day or two before service resumes. Everything was back in order for school Monday. more
