A 48-year-old Winnsboro man faces two charges of indecent exposure in connection with alleged lewd behavior in the parking lot of the Walmart in Mineola. On Dec. 14, Charles Brian Kirksey was arrested for two warrants of indecent exposure. Each warrant carries a $10,000 bond. Kirksey turned himself in to a Mineola Investigator at the Wood County Detention Center, according to the Mineola Police Department. more

At its Dec. 20 meeting, the Quitman City Council approved the Quitman Volunteer Fire Department’s (QVFD) request to order new fire bunker gear. Twelve sets of new fire bunker gear are needed for the department. Suits have to be replaced every 10 years and the current set expires in March. more
