Mineola Elementary School had a full house for it’s Living History Museum. Third graders represented inventors and entrepreneurs, fourth graders represented historical Texas figures, and fifth graders represented famous Americans in math and science.  more

Swarm wins area soundly

The Mineola, Quitman, and Winnsboro high school bands competed at the Conference 3A Area C marching contest held at Carthage High School Stadium on Saturday.

Mineola’s Sound of the Swarm marching band won the competition, earning a trip to San Antonio where they will defend their state championship title Nov. 6. more

Mineola board hashes out plans to expand career-tech

The Mineola ISD held an informal workshop to gather information and plan the expansion of the career and technical education program on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The meeting was productive, with all board members and new interim Superintendent Randy Hancock present. Also attending were Mayor Kevin White, City Manager Mercy Rushing, other city officials and Mineola Foundation representatives.  more
