Clear skies, free hotdogs, bike giveaways and complimentary wriggly worms welcomed folks to the annual Hooked on Fishing youth tournament on Saturday morning along the southern shores of Lake Fork.

Swarming to the Sabine River Authority headquarters, 215 registrants from ages legally alive to those legal to drive competed to catch the heaviest bass, catfish, perch, crappie, and turtles.

Former Dallas Cowboys players Kenneth Gant and Lincoln Coleman Jr. assisted Sheriff Tom Castloo in handing out the hardware to 18 outstanding anglers. Cash Harrison from Celina pulled in a 6.38-pound catfish, netting him the overall prize for the largest catch in any age or classification. more
