Mineola police reports for the past week included:

Oct. 18 – There was a request for a welfare check of a South Pacific Street woman but police learned she was in Dallas at a relative’s house.

Police arrested Dejuan Anthony Henley, 19, of Mineola for forgery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Sonic contacted the police department when Henley attempted to pay for a meal with a hundred dollar bill that had “for motion picture use only” written on it. When Henley was being booked in it was discovered he was in possession of mushrooms and marijuana, and he had six more counterfeit $100 bills in his sock.

At 8:12 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance between a man and woman at Murphy’s Oil. Officers found that the man’s arm was bleeding and the woman said he had punched out the car window. EMS was contacted and transported him to the hospital.

Oct. 17 – Officers assisted the fire department in the 900 block of University Street on a fire that started in a bedroom and filled the house with smoke.

A woman was issued a criminal trespass warning from the Mineola Country Club.

Sonic reported a fraud when a man paid for his food using a counterfeit $5 bill. The money was picked up by officers.

Police arrested Darrion Devante Vickers, 21, Tyler on a Smith County probation violation at 10:40 p.m. Vickers’ van was pulled over on South Pacific Street for having a defective tail light and he was found to be wanted on a warrant.

Oct. 15 – A verbal disturbance was reported on Newsom Street. It was a boyfriend who just wanted to get his belongings from the home.

There was a report of a road rage incident in which another driver threw a beer bottle at the complainant. However, it was discovered the incident occurred outside the city limits.

Oct. 14 – An officer was called the Cross Country Foods on South Pacific Street at 9:25 a.m. when a man was found asleep in his vehicle. The man was checked out and was just sleeping. Someone was called to drive for him.

A Mineola man reported his bank card was used in Dallas without his permission.

A hit-and-run was reported in the Walmart parking lot.

Officers checked out a report of a suspicious person lying near the trash can area at a church on North Pacific Street. He was traveling and was waiting on the weather to clear.

Police arrested Bill Charles Neal, 44, Mineola at his residence on Newsom Street for possession of marijuana. Officers had been contacted by his girlfriend about an argument at the home between the two.
