The 115th Old Settlers Reunion is set for Wednesday, Aug. 2 – Saturday, Aug. 6 and the entertainment lineup for the pavilion stage has been set.
Pavilion entertainment kicks off with local 50s and 60s rocker Dale “The C” Cummings bringing his high energy show singing a variety of hits from the early days of rock n’ roll. Thursday night will feature KWNS’ Randy Lindsey for Karaoke Night. Anyone wanting to sing their favorite tunes in front of a crowd is encouraged to arrive early to sign-up.
Friday night is Gospel Night and this year brings a special treat. Quitman native Andre Thompson will bring his Worship for the King tour to Quitman with a variety of gospel singers. A special talent also singing Friday night is Kaufman County’s 13-year old Kadie Lynn, who swept to fame last year as a semi-finalist on “America’s Got Talent.”
Saturday night will be Country Music Night and will bring Longview’s Anthony Riley Band to the pavilion stage. Alba native Les Paul Clanton is a member of this multi-talented country group.
There will also be a new twist in the carnival area with East Texas’ own Hip Hop Amusements providing the midway with rides and carnival games. Hip Hop Amusements is from Gilmer.
There will be plenty of fun with the annual Quitman-Lake Fork Kiwanis Club Bingo each night of the reunion and great food from area service and booster clubs.
