To the editor,
Thank you to the Wood County Monitor for your story on the BUG (Bringing Up Grades) program that your local Mineola Kiwanis club conducts in the Mineola and Alba-Golden elementary schools. This program is one our many service projects that incorporate recognition for children. It is a true delight to witness the smiles and excitement that the kids display when receiving their BUG certificates. They generate a little more exuberance in anticipation of the prize drawings after the awards are handed out! As you mentioned, Robin Averett has coordinated this project for some time now. She is an integral part of Mineola Kiwanis, and we value her very much.
