Congratulations to Kyle Williams, Wood County 4-H member who won first place overall in the 2018 District 5 Bass Fishing Competition.
Williams also had two first place finishes and a fourth place in the preliminary bass events. Joe Brunson placed seventh overall and had two sixth place finishes in preliminary awards. Daniel Kernes had a 10th place preliminary award. J.W. Mullinax had a ninth place preliminary award.
In other news Wood County 4-H members three weeks ago brought home top honors from the recent District 4-H Round-Up competition. Nick Williams won first place in the Jr. Individual, first place Jr. Team. Alan de Gorostiza won first place in the Intermediate Individual. Katelyn de Gorostiza won second place in the Jr. Individual, and first place on the Jr. Team. Tristan Horton won third place in the Jr. Individual, and first place in the Jr. Team.
