4-H Gold Star winners honored at district banquet

Wood County 4-H Gold Star honorees were recently honored at the District 4-H Gold Star Awards Banquet held at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. 

Luke Kindle is the son of Keith and Lori Kindle and is a senior at Alba-Golden High School. His main projects in 4-H have been Entomology, Wildlife, and Gardening/Horticulture. He has held many club and county council officer positions and won top awards at State Round-Up and with his 4-H Record Book.

Brenley von Reyn is the daughter of Brad and Gena von Reyn and she attends Quitman High School. Her main projects have been Beef, Wildlife, Ag Sciences and Public Speaking. She has been a club and county council officer and been active with community service projects. Von Reyn has attended District Leadership Lab and State 4-H Congress.

Gabe Brunson is the son of Jason and Melissa Brunson and is a recent graduate of Winnsboro High School. He is currently attending Northeast Texas Community College where he is majoring in Ag / Business.  Brunson’s main 4-H projects were Shooting Sports, Wildlife and Ag Mechanics. He has served as a club officer and won top state and national awards in Shooting Sports events. He is now a certified 4-H Shooting Sports Coach and is looking forward to giving back to the 4-H program as he serves in this role.
