A-G falls just short in 5-set match with Indians

The Alba-Golden Lady Panthers volleyball team lost a five-set match to the Grand Saline Lady Indians Friday.

With set scores of 23-25, 30-28, 12-25, 25-18 and 10-15, each set was hotly contested and high scoring. But none more contested than the second set when the Lady Panthers won after five sudden death points.

Ginny Carson led the Lady Panthers with 17 kills and 22 digs, and Kenzie Chadwick had 15 kills, eight digs, two blocks and an ace.

Aspen Howard led in assists with 42 and two aces. Lindsey Roberts had 17 assists and Ann Marie Pendergrass had 11 digs.
