Arrest affidavits for eight persons charged with delivery of marijuana between 50 and 2,000 pounds in Wood County Feb. 23 and 25 reveal additional details linking the operations that were spread over three properties.

The residence raided on Feb. 23 at 793 CR 1350 west of Lake Quitman was found to have two rooms with growing operations and a third that had already been harvested. There were five large trash bags with harvested marijuana in the garage, along with several clear bags of marijuana separated by hybrid names.

Also seized was about $10,000 cash and money counting machines.

Three suspects were arrested at this location: Natalia Vladimirinova Semenova, Ivan Sergeevich Pozdeev and Russell David Rothe, the property owner.

On the morning of Feb. 25 officers raided 390 CR 1573 northeast of Alba. Deputies located lamps, a watering system, chemicals, fertilizer and other items in two out buildings. They also located numerous large plastic bags with marijuana, some labeled with names. Several freshly-cut plants were also found along with documents that indicated that marijuana was being grown and sold.

Deputies also determined from documents that the operations were related.

Arrested were Maynard Harold Gilbert, the property owner, who was sitting in a vehicle in the driveway, and three suspects in the residence, Marizabel Mier, Camila Mier and Oscar Mier.

A third warrant was executed at 1501 Farm Road 778 southeast of Quitman jointly owned by Rothe and Semenova on the evening of the 25th. Resident Abdil Kulseitov had already been detained by the sheriff’s office.

Deputies located an active grow house with numerous mature marijuana plants along with lamps, watering system, chemicals and fertilizer.

This location was not reported in the original news release sent out by the sheriff’s office.

The warrants resulted in the seizure of more than 1,600 pounds of marijuana.

All eight suspects remained in the Wood County jail on Monday with bonds of $750,000 each.
