Fantasy writer comes to Alba library

Posted

On January 12, at 7:00 pm author Jerry Yost will be the guest speaker at the Friends of the Alba Library Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Alba Library and Museum at 109 E. Holley St. (Hwy 182). Jerry has had an interesting career. After completing his military service, Mr. Yost went into the advertising and marketing business, and eventually owned his own agency. He also served in the state legislature. During the last 16 years since retiring from the Texas Legislature, Jerry and his wife, Julia have traveled extensively, having been to all but two of the states and to every continent except antartica. Jerry and Julia reside in Longview.

In his retirement, Jerry has taken up writing fiction. His genre is fantasy, with two books having been published and another two in the planning/creation stage. His first book is "The Great Arctic

Adventure-An Elf's Christmas Tale", and his second is "Rune", to be followed by "Rune II" with "Pleiades" to complete the trilogy.

The Friends of the Library meetings are open to the public. Please come and hear Jerry speak and enjoy some one-on-one conservation with Jerry after his presentation.

The Alba Friends of the Library is a 501(c) (3) organization registered with the Internal Revenue Sevice. The sole purpose of the organization is to raise fund to support the library.
