Alba-Golden beats Mineola
Alba-Golden defeated Mineola in District 12-3A volleyball 25-19, 25-11, 21-25 and 25-22 last Tuesday night.
“Ginny Carson led the team tonight. With her aggressive net play, serves and defense. We made plays on several great digs on hit and tip balls. I’m very pleased with our overall play,” Coach TaShara Everette said.
Carson 18 kills four blocks, one assist, 11 digs and three aces, Lauren Crump six kills and five digs, Hope Wiley and Madi Byrant both had four kills each and Bryant added three digs and an ace, Ann Marie Pendergrass 19 digs.
The Lady Panthers even their district record to 1-1 and season total at 8-17. They had a bye Friday and are on the road at Quitman Tuesday and Lone Oak Friday.
