Alba-Golden, Minoela casts advance in One-Act Play
Alba-Golden and Mineola High Schools’ one-act play productions have advanced to the area round of state competition.
Alba-Golden will perform again on Saturday, April 12 in Corsicana. The Red Curtain Company is the first of six schools to compete, starting at 10 a.m.
They are performing “Anatomy of a Gray.”
In the bidistrict round, individual awards went to Outstanding Technician-Alex Reyes, Honorable Mention All-Star Cast-Braden Rankin, All-Star Cast-Collin Nichols and Outstanding Performer-Olivia Morrison.
Mineola performed “Silent Sky” and competes at area Tuesday, April 8 at Longview High School.
Awards included Kamya McVey-All Star Tech Award, Honorable Mention All-Star Cast-Isaac Wyers andBest Performers-Meelah Amason and Victoria Kinder.
Quitman High School’s performance of “Mrs. Packard” was named area alternate, and awards went to McKenna Wood All-Star Tech, Honorable Mention All-Star Cast-Maycie Miller, Drake Butler and Sophie Reynolds and All-Star Cast-Kash Davis.
