All-state academic team named

All-state academic team named
The following Wood County student-athletes have been named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association academic all-state teams in volleyball.
From Mineola, students include Raquel Hughes, Kapri Riley, Lauren Simmons, Aubree Smith and Riley Weekly.
From Quitman, students include Delaney Flanagan, Brooklyn Marcee and Alexis O’Neal.
The TGCA selects academic all-state teams for volleyball in conferences 1A through 6A.
Athletes and support staff must be seniors to qualify and have a grade-point average of 94 or above.
The head varsity coach must be a member of TGCA in good standing by the Nov. 1 membership deadline for honors.
Support staff consists of trainers, videographers, managers, etc. who meet the qualifications.
