James Hilburn Hobbs

A graveside service for James Hilburn Hobbs, 77, Quitman was held Nov. 29 at Dallas-Fort Worth Cemetery.

Mr. Hobbs died November 13, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Hobbs was born March 8, 1939 in Hamilton, Texas to John Hobbs and Lizzie (Smith) Hobbs. In addition to Quitman, he had also lived in Mineola. Mr. Hobbs was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army, and was a member of the VFW.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Hobbs.

He is survived by his four sons, Benjamin Hobbs of Keller, James P. Hobbs of Haltom City, Andrew Hobbs of Keller, and Tim Hobbs of Ponder; two brothers, John Hobbs of Nacona and Wesley Hobbs of Mineola; five grandchildren, one great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
