Arlon Hugh Ragsdale, 1967-2019

Funeral services for Arlon Hugh Ragsdale, age 51 of Golden, were Feb. 15 at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola with Rev. Prestridge officiating. Interment was at Salem Cemetery in Alba.

Mr. Ragsdale died Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, in Sulphur Springs.

He was born on Sept. 1, 1967, in Greenville to Arlon Hugh Ragsdale Sr. and June Harrison Ragsdale. He was a retired agriculture teacher and was a former member of Northside Church in Mineola. He was in the process of joining Cottonwood Assembly of God in Golden.

Mr. Ragsdale is survived by his parents, Arlon and June Ragsdale of Alba; wife, Sherry Ragsdale of Golden; sons, Ethen Ragsdale of Golden, Cyruss Ragsdale of Ferris and Koerth Ragsdale of Golden; sisters, Terri Chaffin of Alba and Junella Brown of Princeton, Texas.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
