Between Friends cooks up something sweet for Legislative Ladies Club
Donna Hanger’s shop Between Friends provided a taste of Mineola to the Legislative Ladies Club during a Taste of Texas gathering in Austin in May.
Hanger no doubt satisfied a lot of sweet tooths by making and individually wrapping 350 pieces of her fabulous fudge.
At the Taste of Texas affair, the spouses of representatives bring one food item from their districts.
Melody Thompson of state Rep. Cole Hefner’s office said, “Donna was an obvious choice” to provide something delicious from House District 5.
Said Hefner’s wife, Kerri: “We were supposed to bring 350 pieces. So it wasn’t a small task.”
Hanger, who made and packaged all 350 pieces of fudge herself, said she was honored to provide one of her signature products.
