Billy Nathaniel Laird Jr. 1957-2021

Billy Nathaniel Laird Jr. passed away at his home on Sept. 21, 2021 at age 63.

Bill was born in Brownwood on Dec. 24, 1957 to Billy Nathaniel Laird Sr. and Lillie Jo McCartney. Billy served his country proudly in the US Army after graduating high school. He later worked as a pipeline inspector for many years and retired from Energy Transfer Service in the fall of 2020. Billy was an all-around outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was an extremely hard worker and traveled frequently with his job. Billy was an incredibly thoughtful man who loved Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Jo McCartney; and father, Billy Nathaniel Laird Sr.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Johnathan Laird and wife Carolina of Lemon Grove, Cal., Jennifer Price and husband Lem of Weatherford and Chris Laird of Odessa; siblings, Joey, Michelle, Tree, Robert “Bob” and Harvey “Spud”; two grandchildren, Emily and Michelle Wallace; and nephew, Justin Laird.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
