Mineola police reports for the past week included:

March 23 – Police arrested Glen Edward Hollis, 68, Lindale for his second violation of a criminal trespass warning at EZ Mart. He was also charged with violating a warning at the VFW as well. There were six calls on Hollis March 17 and 18 in which the callers requested criminal trespass warnings be issued to the man. Police said there were other complainants who didn’t request a warning. Additionally, at the Campbell Law Firm, Dairy Queen and the VFW outside faucets were turned on and left to run all night and surveillance video showed that Hollis was responsible. There was also a complaint about him making an inappropriate comment to a woman in a store.

March 22 - Police arrested David Lee Slavens, 37, Mineola on a Collin County warrant for theft of property.

There was a report of a man hitting a woman at the civic center. Police reported no charges were filed because the woman did not want to.

A civil matter was reported at Happy Days Vape shop on North Pacific Street when a family member wanted to enter the shop and take some property she said was hers.

At 8:22 p.m. police received a report of a disturbance on Meadowbrook Street over payment for a Playstation in a deal between friends.

March 21 – At 12:34 a.m. a disturbance was reported on University Street when a woman stated her landlord was at her property drunk and starting problems. An officer went there, found they were arguing and they were separated.

Police arrested Edwin Laforrest Henry, 54, Mineola for Mineola traffic warrants. He was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation.

March 20 – Police issued a criminal trespass warning from Walmart to someone who was in the store who had committed a prior theft.

At 2:57 p.m. officers responded to a report of a hit and run on North Pacific Street at Patten. A man was turning his vehicle on to Patten when a red car hit him in the rear and kept going.

A man reported his stereo was stolen from his vehicle while at Walmart. It was later discovered a friend had taken it out.

March 19 – Police arrested Brian William Crowell, 49, of Holly Lake Ranch at 12:03 a.m. on a probation revocation warrant out of Freestone County. Personnel at the Best Western hotel reported an argument between a man and a female. When officers arrived they found Crowell locked out of the room by his girlfriend. Officers talked to her and found that the dispute was only an argument but discovered the warrant on Crowell.

A West Buchanan street woman called and said her daughter had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Officers talked with the woman but weren’t able to find the man at the time. After an investigation, they located and arrested Johnathon Wayne Blackwell, 33, Mineola , on March 21 for assault causing bodily injury (impeding breathing).

There was a report a man punched a woman while they were inside a car at Murphy Oil. When police spoke to them they said that they had only argued.

Officers responded to a call about a deceased man on Wigley Street. A 68-year-old man was found deceased in the home. The death is believed to be from natural causes.

At 9:12 p.m. parents reported their 14-year-old daughter had run away from home around 1 p.m. that day after an argument. The parents contacted friends and could not find her. She was found by officers around 12 p.m. March 20, unharmed and staying in a wooded area.

March 18 – At 2:50 a.m. personnel at Cross Country Foods on South Pacific Street reported an older woman at the store was confused about where she was and how she had gotten there. Officers talked with the woman and found out she was a missing person out of Hunt County since March 17. Officials from Hunt County and her family were contacted and they came to pick her up.

At 3:16 p.m. a woman reported her 30-year-old son was missing. He had not been heard from since about 5 p.m. the previous day and he had made plans, on which he had not followed through. He was found around 9 a.m. on the following day.

A woman on West Patten Street was working in her yard and found a 32 caliber revolver wrapped in a trash bag in the dirt. Police said the gun had been buried for a long time. It was turned over to police.

At 10:16 p.m. police went to a home on Wren Street on a report that a woman had assaulted a man. There was also a report of a car being damaged. She was issued a criminal trespass warning by police.

March 17 –A woman reported her cellphone was stolen when she laid it down on an aisle to look at something.

March 16 – Union Pacific Railroad Police reported they had slowed down trains in the area due to a film crew at the train depot holding a microphone boom over the rails. The crew had permission to be at the location, but not to interfere with the trains or the railroad. Officers talked to them and warned them about the matter.
