Bobby Joe Short 1938-2019

Bobby Joe Short, 80, of Golden, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, in Tyler.

He was born Oct. 25, 1938, in Covington, Tenn. to the late Malcolm Robert and Myrtle Agnes West Short. He served in the U.S. Army, and married Linda Butler Sept. 2, 1965, in Dallas. He was a manager of several restaurants. They have lived in the Golden area for the last 39 years.

Survivors include wife of 54 years, Linda Short of Golden; sons, Todd Short of Golden and Joel Short of Golden; sister, Linn Short-Hawkins of Golden; and four grandchildren.
