CORPUS CHRISTI - A memorial service for Joshua Wade White, 19, Corpus Christi, relative of a Mineola resident, was held December 31, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Mineola.

Joshua died December 23, in Brenham. He was born March 29, 1997, in Dallas to Christopher White and Silvia Gamez. He was a 2015 graduate of Flour Bluff High School and was attending college in Dallas.

He is survived by his mother, Silvia Gomez, and father and step-mother Christopher and Melissa White; brothers, Zander and John White; his sister Kerri Perez; grandparents, Gloria and Felix Gamez, Charlene Hill of Mineola, Robert and Rosie White of Golden, John and Debby Vaara and numerous other relatives.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
