The Alba-Golden Lady Panthers closed out the first half of District 12-3A volleyball with an exciting five-set 3-2 win over Rains taking the fifth and decisive set 15-8.
The Lady Panthers start the second half of play Tuesday at home against district leader Edgewood (6-0) followed by a Friday match at Mineola.

The Alba-Golden Lady Panthers closed out the first half of District 12-3A volleyball with an exciting five-set 3-2 win over Rains taking the fifth and decisive set 15-8.
The Lady Panthers start the second half of play Tuesday at home against district leader Edgewood (6-0) followed by a Friday match at Mineola.
Ginny Carson lead the team with 24 kills, 17 digs, two blocks; Madi Byrant five kills, 18 digs, Ann Marie Pendergerass 25 digs; and Bralee Littlejohn 17 assists and 13 digs.
The Lady Panthers continue to work hard with their goal being to make the playoffs after missing them last season.
”The playoffs are always our goal at Alba-Golden. We feel like we have a good chance this year to get back into the playoffs,” Head Coach TaShara Everett said.
