Constable Pct. 2 Report
Pct. 2 Constable Kelly Smith reported the following activities for the month of March:
taught a Defensive Pistol class for the Wood County Sheriff’s Office and their deputies that was offered to surrounding law enforcement agencies at no charge; building checks and distribution of door hangers to inform people their businesses are being checked; service of, attempted and/or processed 25 civil papers and numerous vehicles checked in the Lake Holbrook area.
Also, served as justice of the peace court bailiff; assisted Mineola PD on a suspicious person at Front and Stone Streets; cited a (20 year old) minor for possession of alcohol in a vehicle driven by Luis Alberto Perez, 19, Hawkins, who was arrested for no driver’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance.
Calls for service included escort 1, estray 1, missing person 1, suspicious person 2, suspicious circumstance 2 and warrant service 1.
