Charles “Butch” Gott, 1943-2020

Charles “Butch” Gott, 76, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020, in Comanche.

He was born on Oct. 31, 1943, in Brownwood to Charlie Earl and Gladys (Cadenhead) Gott. He graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock and attended Dallas Baptist University. Charles was a veteran of the United States Navy. On Dec. 30, 1961, he was united in marriage to Lena Sue Yarbrough in Lubbock. He served as a Baptist minister.

He is survived by his wife, Lena Sue Gott of Comanche; son, Joshua Gott and wife Karen of Lindale; daughter, Terri Christian and husband Van of Comanche; and four grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions, a private graveside service for family was held.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
