Christine “Cris” Ruth Featherston 1952-2020

Services for Christine “Cris” Ruth Featherston 67, of Tyler were scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home with visitation from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020.

Christine passed away on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 in Dallas. She was born on Sept. 6, 1952 in Dallas to Maxine Vivian Simpson. She was a licensed vocational nurse for 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Glenn “Butch” Featherston.

She is survived by her children, Glenn Featherston of Houston, William D. Featherston of Houston, Tony Owens of Humble, Chad Featherston of Rockwall, Joey Ray Featherston of Tyler and Cindy Featherston Corcoran of Rockwall; grandchildren, Carissa Maines, Felicia Mae Logan, Brandon Featherston, Alison Maines Irons, Dustin Owens, Colby Featherston, Ashley Villanueva and Ashton Villanueva; great-grandchildren, Julius Martinez and Aiden Owens; sisters, Belinda Sanderson and Sonja Gill; and brother, Clarence Thompson.

Christine will be forever cherished by her family and friends and be greatly missed.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
