Christopher Don Owens, 1982-2021

Christopher Don Owens, 39, of Lindale, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021 in Tyler. He was born on Aug. 10, 1982 in Lone Star. Christopher was an A/C technician and loved playing baseball and singing. He is survived by his loving wife, Erin Owens of Lindale; daughters, Avery and Ainsley of Lindale; father, Billy Don Owens, wife Misty and daughter Lexi of Hughes Spring; mother, Carla Williams Milliken of Quitman; grandmother, Carolyn Williams (Mama Cat) of Quitman; brother, Chase Gilliam and wife Amber of Garden Valley; and special cousins (like siblings) Mandy Gammill and Marcus Owens. Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Service followed at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Joey Williams conducting. Interment was at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Mineola, with Marcus Owens, Jeramy Jones, Matt Black, Monty Johnson, Will Cowen and Gavin Williams serving as pallbearers.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
