Classics flock to Mineola
Saturday’s dreary weather did not curb enthusiasm for the Annual Iron Horse Cruise in downtown Mineola, which drew 150 classic vehicles from all over Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. Bob Smith and Billy Pool started the car show in 1998 with only 20-25 cars participating. Tommy Warren from Edgewood won best paint with his 1949 Ford F-1 pickup, Tom Hopkins from Tyler won best engine with his 1932 Ford Highboy, Fred Chambers from Canton won best interior with his 1958 Plymouth Fury, and David Orr from Texarkana won best of show with his 1954 Ford F-150 pickup.
