HOLLY LAKE RANCH-A celebration of life will be held Thursday, September 22 at 2:30 PM at Holly Brook Baptist Church in Holly Lake Ranch for Tommie Lou Cosby, 77, of Holly Lake Ranch.

Mrs. Cosby died September 19, 2016 in Tyler. She was born August 3, 1939 in Crow to the late John “Pete” and Delores Shoemaker. She attended Holly Brook Baptist Church, was on the Board of Directors of Cedar Memorial Gardens in Mineola, a Girl Scout leader, a softball coach and other Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Cosby, Holly Lake; two sons, David Cosby of Diana, Danny Cosby, Raleigh, North Carolina; a daughter, Debra Lane, Dallas; two brothers, Larry shoemaker, Collinsville and John Shoemaker, Comfort; and four granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler 75701 or Cal Farley Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890 Amarillo 79174.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
