Due to a shortage of AARP Tax Aide Program volunteers in Wood County, there will be no free Federal Income Tax assistance at the Quitman Public Library this tax season. The AARP Tax Aide office can help you locate your nearest free tax preparation site by calling 1-888-227-7669. The library will only receive printed 2016 Forms 1040, 1040 A, and 1040 EZ. Also, public computers are available at the library for patrons to file online during regular business hours. Public Wi-Fi is available 24/7.

January is “Get Healthy, Stay Healthy” month. If you have resolved to exercise, diet, or just be a better person, the library has the information and books you need to be successful. This special display is located near the check-out area.

Patron cards are for Wood County residents with photo identification. A guardian must sign for children ages 5-17. Regular hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Call 903-763-4191 or visit our website at quitmanlibrary.org. Keep up with current events on our Facebook page at facebook.com/quitmanpubliclibrary.
