County to seek virus relief funds
Wood County commissioners approved giving the county judge permission to participate in the Coronavirus Relief Fund, administered by the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
These funds are to be used for expenses the county has had as a result of the COVID-19 problem. The CRF money can be used for medical expenses, public health expenses, expenses of actions to facilitate compliance with COVID-19 related public health measures, expenses associated with the provision of economic support in connection with COVID-19 health emergencies, and any other COVID-19 related expenses reasonably necessary to the function of government that satisfy the fund’s eligibility criteria.
