COVID-19 cases jump by nine
The number of cases of COVID-19 in Wood County increased by nine Friday, according to the Northeast Texas Public Health District.
The district reported no new cases or recoveries yesterday but added nine cases today, all in the Winnsboro area. The makes the total for the county at 49 cases.
Recoveries increased by only one to 22 while the number of deaths remained at four, leaving 23 active cases.
The state's last report on Thursday showed 649 county residents had been tested for the viral disease.
