COVID-19 impacts ramp project funds
COVID-19 has curtailed many community fundraising efforts.
The United Methodist Men of the First United Methodist Church in Mineola have had such a quandary for funds to continue with their ramp building projects.
The group has one project upcoming which will leave enough funds for one more ramp.
The ramps are typically built to help a homeowner improve their access with a wheelchair.
The ramps are built at no charge to the client.
The men typically hold benefit spaghetti and baked potato dinners to replenish funds but have been unable to do so since March.
To support this continuing ministry, donations may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Mineola, reference Methodist Men Ramps in the memo line, 612 N. Newsom St., Mineola TX 75773.
