Richard Lee Harpole

MINEOLA-Funeral services for Richard Lee Harpole, 47, Emory, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 2 at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola with Rev. Jim Parker officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home in Alba.

Burial will be in Golden Cemetery.

Mr. Harpole died March 29, 2017, at a Tyler hospital. He was born June 2, 1969, in Mineola to John Thomas and Bunny Harpole. He served in the Navy four years during Desert Storm, worked for the U.S. Department of Justice and lived most of his life in East Texas. He was a member of Sand Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sue Harpole, Emory; father, John Harpole, Alba; mother, Bunny Wiley, Jackson, Mississippi; son, Anthony “Tony” Harpole, Emory; daughters, Kelsey Harpole, Emory, Kendall Harpole, Point and Jericka Scoggins, Emory and sisters, Jennifer Underwood, Mineola, Misty Eckerfield, Quantico, VA and Mandy Campbell, Beckville.
