Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders visit Wood Memorial
Flashing smiles and shaking their pom poms, four members of the famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad brought excitement to Wood Memorial Nursing Home in Mineola on Saturday morning. Residents, staff and family crowded into the lobby to meet and chat with the cheerleaders. The visit was arranged by Wood Memorial as part of National Nursing Week.

Flashing smiles and shaking their pom poms, four members of the famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad brought excitement to Wood Memorial Nursing Home in Mineola on Saturday morning. Residents, staff and family crowded into the lobby to meet and chat with the cheerleaders. The visit was arranged by Wood Memorial as part of National Nursing Week. Wood Memorial planned activities throughout this week, including a balloon release and fishing trip Monday, a 1950s car show and visit by “Elvis” on Tuesday, a luau party and happy hour Wednesday; a community barbecue and karaoke Thursday; a bingo shootout on Friday; and an Armed Forces Day and veterans salute on Saturday.
