Mr. David Scott, age 89 of Mineola, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, in Mineola.

He was born on Nov. 29, 1928, in Wood County to the late Grover Cleveland Scott and Imma Wood Scott. He was a retired clerk with Union Pacific and a member of First Christian Church of Mineola.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister and one daughter, Helen Tapley.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Scott of Mineola; son, Walter Scott of New Braunsfel; and three grandsons.

Visitation was Saturday, Nov. 24 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola. Funeral services followed with Rev. Rick Son conducting. Interment was at Sand Springs Cemetery in Mineola.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
