100th Birthday
Winnie Booher originally from Grandview now resides in Wood Memorial Nursing Home and calls Mineola home. She turned 100 on July 31 and was honored by the City of Mineola at her birthday celebration. Mayor Pro-tem Kevin White, far right, proclaimed July 26 as Winnie Booher Day in the City of Mineola! Pictured with Ms. Booher is Elijah Coffman. His grandma was caregiver to Winnie for two years. Winnie helped care for him and a special bond was formed from the start. He still visits Winnie and when she sees him her face lights up! (Photo courtesy Stacey Hays)
