Quitman High School One Act Play advances
During Saturday evening's Area One Act Play competition in Van, Quitman High School received Advancing Play top honors for their production of "These Shining Lives".
Individual awards were given to Connor Cameron-Best Actor, Beth Noble-All Star Cast, Shelby Herring-Honorable Mention All Star Cast, and Hill Norris-Tech Award. At the District 17-AA competition on March 24, QHS was awarded the District Champion title. Individuals honored at the district competition were; Beth Noble-Best Actress, Maddie Driver and Shelby Herring- All Star Cast, Connor Cameron- Honorable Mention All Star Cast and Hill Norris-Tech Award.
These students will now compete at the Region III-AA One Act Play Competition on May 1st at Tyler Junior College. The cast and crew are under the direction of Kristina Johnson.
