Doublewide Christmas enters final weekend

Posted

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7, 8 and 9, will be the final three performances of A Doublewide, Texas, Christmas, the hilarious sequel to February’s Doublewide, Texas. Please note that this is not part of the 2018 season for Lake Country Playhouse. The show played to delighted audiences last weekend and this will be your last chance to join in the fun

Written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, and directed by Mary Barlow Miller, the misadventures of the Crumpler family and friends again take center stage in the newest, and tiniest, town in Texas: Doublewide. While fighting county administrators over the legitimacy of their new civic entity, the Crumplers also enter in the highly competitive “Battle of the Nativities” with other towns in the county.

The production features Cynthia Russell, Tonya Slayton, Carly Loughmiller, Daniel Armstrong, Missy Armstrong, Charlie Scovern, Kay McEntire, Richard Luna and Luane Chancellor.

Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 7:30PM with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for students. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Reservations can be made by calling the box office at 903 569-2300.

Also, season tickets for the 2019 season are now on sale and make the perfect stocking stuffer! Lake Country Playhouse season tickets are $40 for all four plays next year. Season tickets for the Lake Country Symphonic Band are $20 for the four concerts, and are practically the only way to guarantee a seat for their sold-out performances. Season tickets may be purchased by calling the box office at 903 569-2300 and charging by phone with your VISA, Master Card or Discover cards.

Lake Country Playhouse is a nonprofit community theatre that performs its shows at the Historic Select Theater, 114 N. Johnson St., in Mineola.
