Eddie Marie Williams, better known as Grandmother, was born June 1, 1939 in Swartz, La. She met Theodore Williams in El Paso and was married from Dec. 6, 1956 until Ted’s passing in 1991. They raised three children, Janet Lee, Broderick Eugene and Randall Irving, in Haltom City.
She worked as a caretaker and played a large role in the lives of her grandchildren. In 2006, she escaped the Metroplex and headed east to Winnsboro, where she enjoyed the slower pace of life and quickly became a valued neighbor in this small-town community.
Eddie Marie loved to dance and enjoyed her time with dancing partner and longtime companion, George Taylor, until his death in 2016.
Grandmother was known for doing everything her way. She was gentle, yet firm; sweet but also sassy; stubborn in her ways but very patient with her time. She loved to cook and play the piano; a visit to Grandmother’s was sure to include both. She loved to host her family and spend as much time together as possible.
An avid reader of the Bible, Grandmother loved to share the Gospel with everyone around her. Her spunky personality will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; five brothers; husband, Ted; son, Rick; grandson, Antonio; granddaughter, Krystal; and several nieces and nephews.
Eddie Marie leaves behind a loving family, daughter, Janet (Will) Williams; son, Randy Williams; brothers, Jim (Minyap) Mosley and Charles (Patsy) Mosley; grandchildren, Tiffani (Greg) Massa, Kyle (Lauren) Karnes, Mandy (Dan) Mariscal, Cody Carlile, Clint (Crystal) Williams, Randall Williams, Dylan Williams; great-grandchildren, Kade, Alexa, Kolin, Ayden, Alex, Drew, Shane, Mallori, Riley, Easton, Scarlett and Kyndall; great-great-grandson, Eli; along with many nieces and nephews.
