Funeral services for Everett Marshall “Buddy” Hill, 77, of Edgewood were March 8 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. Butch Cunningham and Bro. Robert Brown officiating. Interment was at Small Cemetery north of Edgewood.

Mr. Hill passed away March 5, 2019, at his residence in Edgewood.

He was born on Feb. 2, 1942, in Mineola, the son of Elmer Ernest Hill and Charlene Beatrice Alexander Hill. He was raised in Mineola, where he attended public school. On Jan. 26, 1963, he married his bride, Corine Lee in Edgewood.

Mr. Hill was formerly employed by LTV-Vought Aeronautics Grand Prairie, retiring in 1997. After retirement, he became a full-time husband, father, grandfather and all around problem solver. He lived in Mineola prior to moving to Edgewood in 1973. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and fishing.

Mr. Hill was a very faithful Christian who loved God very much. He always placed God first in his life, with his family a very close second. Whenever he was asked about anything he would always say, “It doesn’t matter, as long as I have my three girls I’m happy.” At night when it was time to go to bed, he made sure the four of us held hands beside the bed to pray God’s blessings, healing and His will in our life. Daddy was the perfect example of what a husband and father should be.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Charlene Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Corine Hill, of Edgewood; two daughters, Brenda Clemmons and Donna Fields, both of Edgewood; two brothers, Butch and Billy, both of Mineola; four grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
