The Fannie Marchman Garden Club will host Lin Grado as its featured speaker at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 17 in the Pecan Room of the Mineola Civic Center. Grado is a Wood County Master Gardener and writes the column “In East Texas Gardens” for the Wood County Monitor. Refreshments will served and guests are welcome.
At the club’s September meeting, the club started off its new year with the theme “Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose.” Information was shared relating to the various civic organizations that offer recycling. Future meeting topics will feature ideas to promote the theme.
At the May meeting, new officers were installed for the 2018/2019 club year. They are as follows: President, Angela Thompson; First Vice President, Rosemarie Kastrau (membership); Second Vice President, Jan Sokolosky (programs); Third Vice President, Roxanna Peterson (hostess coordinator); Secretary, Charla Martin; Treasurer, Linda Vandagriff.
