Tonight Mineola takes on Commerce with the Jackets playing for the top district playoff seed. A win gives Mineola the best record in the district, tied with only one other team, the winner of tonight's Pottsboro-Winnsboro game, both of whom Mineola has defeated.

The playoffs begin with next week's bidistrict matchups.

Quitman takes on West Rusk tonight while Alba-Golden lost to Celeste on Monday 31-7 and completes it season tomorrow (Saturday) at noon against Cooper.

A 90-yard run gives Commerce the early lead, 6-0.

Commerce overcomes a 1st-and-33 to score on a 36-yard TD pass on 4th and six and lead 13-0.

Mineola answers with a long run from Trevion Sneed to make it 13-7.

Jackets are having trouble with Commerce's speed and the Tigers get another long run for a 20-7 lead.

Dawson Pendergrass powers it in with two runs to bring Mineola back, 20-14.

Quitman trails 42-0 at halftime to West Rusk.

Mineola defense gets a stop and the offense gives the Jackets the lead 21-20. Pendergrass gets the score after Sneed converts a 4th-and-3 with a 12-yard run.

And at the half Mineola leads Commerce 21-20.

In other district action Winnsboro and Pottsboro are tied 7-7 early in the second half.

After three quarters Winnsboro leads Pottsboro 15-7.

Pottsboro ties it at 15.

Mineola's opening drive of the second half ends in the end zone in the hands of Trevion Sneed and the Jackets lead Commerce 28-20.

Quitman loses 62-0 to West Rusk.

Commerce comes right back for a score to trim the Mineola lead to 28-27.

Commerce gets the onside kick plus a personal foul on Mineola and the ball is at the Jacket 33.

With 4:09 to play Pottsboro takes a 22-15 lead over Winnsboro.

Mineola holds Commerce to a failed 42-yard field goal try and still leads 28-27.

The Yellowjackets drive for a score capped by a Pendergrass run and it's 35-27 Mineola.

Winnsboro scores with 52 seconds left but goes for two and the win and somes up short, leaving Pottsboro with a 22-21 lead.

Winnsboro's onside kick attempt fails.

Pottsboro holds on for the 22-21 win. Should Mineola win, Pottsboro would be second in district, Winnsboro third and Mt. Vernon fourth.

Mineola gets a fumble recovery and follows it up with a drive deep into Commerce territory, first and goal at the 10 to end the third quarter. Jackets lead 35-27.

Three runs by Sneed puts it in the endzone and Mineola leads 42-27.

Commerce returns the kickoff for a touchdown to cut the lead to 42-34 with 10:29 to play.

Commerce tries the onside kick again and Mineola recovers.

Commerce gets the ball back with 7:32 to play at their own 20.

Tigers convert 4th and 1 and their own 30.

Pendergrass gets the interception for Mineola with 4:20 to play.

Sneed busts it up the middle for around 70 yards on the next play extending the lead to 49-34.

Mineola stops the final Commerce charge to preserve the 49-34 win to finish as the top seed in the district.
