Firemen come to rescue of dog stuck in well
Mineola firemen rescued a corgi that had fallen down a narrow well at a residence on County Road 2311 July 16.
The shallow, narrow well appeared to be relatively new and was uncovered. The pump was running, which helped keep the water level down.
It was just wide enough for the dog to fit in. It fell about eight to 10 feet.
Firemen were able to place a rope around his front legs and his back and retrieve him.
