Holly Brook church prepares for upcoming activities
Holly Brook Baptist Church, Hawkins, will hold its quarterly blood drive April 30 in the Family Life Center. Personnel from the Carter BloodCare Center will be at the church from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accept blood donations from qualified donors. A list of donor guidelines is on the Web site: www.carterbloodcare.org/pdf/DonorGuidelines.pdf
Members of the church are also preparing for a trip to Decatur, Ga., May 1-5 to help the “Love Packages” ministry pack and sort Christian literature for distribution around the world. The ministry was previously known as Edwin L. Hodges Ministries. The church has participated in this ministry for several years.
On May 20, members of Holly Brook Baptist Church will “blitz” area communities with home mission projects.
Designed as a day when HBBC members show others Christ’s goodness, the blitz will include a variety of projects, such as delivering food to shut-ins, providing a service, visiting, and witnessing for Christ. A variety of projects is available with opportunities for all skill levels and ages.
