The Richard Wayne Pollard Education Foundation is now accepting applications for two scholarship opportunities.
Applications are due July 1.
To receive a scholarship from the Pollard Education Foundation, the student must be a graduating senior in Wood, Brazos, Burleson, Robertson, Grimes, Leon, Madison or Washington counties of Texas. They must also meet the minimum requirement of a 2.75 (high school) gradepoint average and have demonstrated a commitment to community service. The scholarship distribution amount will total to $500 per academic semester, per person, for the duration of the recipients’ collegiate years, provided they continue to uphold specific criteria as stated in the scholarship agreement.
The purpose of the scholarships provided by the Pollard Foundation are to give, on a non-discriminatory basis, financial assistance for two different students, to complete studies at a trade certificate program, two-year college or four-year university program.
The Richard Wayne Pollard Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to making a difference in the community. Past recipients have included Mallori White of Mineola.
