Fourth of July fireworks now canceled
The Mineola Fire Department will present the annual Independence Day fireworks display from Mineola Civic Center, 1150 N. Newsom Street, commencing at dark on Saturday, July 4.
Due to coronavirus pandemic concerns and guidelines, there will be no other activities during the day other than the fireworks display that night.
Wearing of facial masks and social distancing is recommended for those who wish to view the fireworks outside of their vehicle.
Fireworks are being furnished by the city of Mineola and a generous donation from Mineola Kiwanis Club.
